MondaySunday Recap: Thrive

Brian continued the third week of the series THRIVE by looking at the Biblical community from the church that thrived in Acts.  Click here  and here to check out week one and week two.

Our big thought this week:
{You are more likely to grow in Christ and less likely to have your faith derailed, if you are in Biblical community}

Brian taught about the Biblical community demonstrated by the early church in Acts 2:42.
They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. [Act 2:42]
1. Devotion to the teaching: Preparing for worship and participating in worship
2. Fellowship: Community of believers with the same mission, encouragement, accountability, and doing life together
3. Breaking bread: Participating in the Lord's Supper and remembering what Christ did for us and all the believers along the way
4. Prayer: Praying for each other and with each other
I was greatly reminded that it is essential to our spiritual life/health to have a community of believers to walk through life and share life's ups and downs.
